SOY FEED

AMERICAN GROWN SOY IS HELPING FEED OUR FISH

PRESENTED BY OUR PARTNER

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

AND YOUR FISH IS MOST LIKELY EATING AMERICAN SOY

WHAT IS YOUR FISH EATING?

Most likely, the the farmed fish you are eating was raised on a healthy diet of AMERICAN SOYBEANS.

WHY SOY?

Soybeans are one of the world’s best non-fish sources of essential omega-3 fatty acids, healthy proteins, and unsaturated fats. High-quality soy protein is fed to farmed fish and shellfish, to support their growth and healthy development.

SHOWING WILD FISH SOME LOVE

Soybean meal, soy protein concentrates, soybean oil, and other vegetable proteins and oils, can replace from one-third to one-half of the fishmeal in feeds for many farmed species, reducing the need for wild-caught fish for fishmeal.

By eating fish that are fed a diet primarily of soy, instead of fish, we can all show our wild fish some love and help our oceans sustain themselves.

More soybeans are grown in the United States than anywhere else in the world

SUSTAINABLE SOY

Newly harvested, high-quality soybeans are selected as the first step in soy product processing. The soybeans go through  a series of cleaning, cracking, and dehulling processes, followed by oil extraction for cooking, biodiesel, and other uses.

The residue, consisting of defatted white soy flakes, is then toasted and ground to produce the soybean meal that has become a staple in fish feed rations worldwide.

One soy plant can provide oil for cooking, become biodiesel fuel that is good for the planet, feed our fish and support sustainable American farmers.
